DC Comics May 2025 Solicit Highlights:
The Summer of Superman kicks into high gear in May with Superman Unlimited, a new ongoing series written by Dan Slott, with art by Rafael Albuquerque. In it the Daily Planet goes global, and so does kryptonite once Intergang gets control of enough to arm up every member of their inter-gang. Supergirl #1 also kicks off from Sophie Campbell, sending the Maid of Might back to Midvale. And in Superman #26 the character gets infected by red kryptonite.
From Superman to Batman, H2SH continues as Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee introduce a new character named Silence. Are Whisper and Quiet Down, Y’all, far behind? Batgirl #7 reveals the definitive origin of Lady Shiva. And Detective Comics #1097 finds Batman “reeling from personal revelations about his past.”
Over in the Absolute Universe, Marcos Martín guests on Absolute Batman for a tale of The Joker and Mr. Freeze. Absolute Superman also brings on the bad guys with Brainiac, revealed. And Absolute Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, and The Flash deliver new issues, as well.
Mr. Terrific: Year One tells the origin story of the character soon to be on screen in Superman. Wonder Woman #21 teams the character up with Batman to solve the murder of Ares. The New Gods #6 reunites Ram V and Filipe Andrade after their work on The Many Deaths of Laila Starr and Rare Flavours. And Two-Face #6 finishes out the Bat-villain series.
